UoEAC provides a range of social events throughout the year. All events are inclusive of everyone within the club and are available for both full and social members. Our weekly Wednesday social takes place most Wednesdays at Timepiece in the city centre. The social consists of several games and challenges throughout the evening. Notable celebrations include our club Christmas dinner and End-of-season formal dinner at the end of the academic year. On top of these events, alumni dinners and social events also take place, and we plan club trips to the Rugby Varsity at Sandy Park and Enchanted Garden Ball in the summer term.

At UoEAC, we are actively involved in charity events throughout the year! For example, we have supported Breast Cancer Awareness, Student Minds, Molympics for Movember, This Girl Can and so many more.

As well as involvement in these charities, we also support our athletes by hosting events and social runs in aid of the charities they wish to support.

training camps

UoEAC is proud to offer a yearly training camp during the easter break. The camp provides an excellent opportunity for athletes to experience the benefits of warm weather training within the supportive club environment. Athletes of all disciplines and events can attend with the support of coaches and student coaches. Past trip locations include Torremolinos, Spain and Monte Gordo, Portugal.

ALUMNI

At UoEAC we value our past and present members equally. That’s why we maintain our alumni connections for many years post-graduation! We have regular events such as alumni team dinners, as well as opportunities for alumni to come back for big social events such as Christmas and end-of-season dinners. However, our biggest alumni event of the year is our alumni relays, usually at the end of term 2 or 3, which is a huge event bringing back many generations of our club!

INTRAMURAL SPORT

In addition to our athletics-heavy weekly schedule, we also throw in a bit of variation in sport with our intramural sport! This is a social sport league organised by the AU, and gives us a really fun opportunity to play in different team sports such as netball and football, whilst playing against other societies in the University. These are usually on a saturday/sunday and is a great and fun way to finish off the week, and most importantly all members are welcome no matter of experience in the sport!
