This weeks Navy League XC race report comes from Social Run Captain David Lobb
The scenic course was set in the back-end of the middle of nowhere, roughly 20 minutes on the bus from Lympstone Commando Training Centre. With such impressive scenery (for those who could stop ogling the marines, Ella), and the prospect of free mars bars, it begs the question why more people don’t do cross country?
This question was soon answered, when we came across the hills (cliffs) we had to climb at the end of each lap...
It was a good atmosphere all afternoon, with parallel military championships taking place - so great job to everyone from EUAC who got stuck in and represented well!
First home for the boys and girls respectively were Bertie and David, Ella and Lottie. We had strong performances from everyone - so again, well done! Special mention to Fergus for trying and failing to bolt some dodgy looking military issue stew at the end
