Originally I intended to keep this blog/news area up to date on every single EUAC fixture- but recently they've come so thick and fast, my typing can't keep up! So here's a round up of the action over the past fortnight...
Barnstaple Parkrun 2/11
Club Captain Ollie Garrod took on the Barnstaple Parkrun, finishing 2nd in 16:14 (a new age-category record for the event) behind winner Frank Baddick- a former BUCS Cross Country Champion, it's a small world!
Templer Ten (9.5 miles) 3/11
Michael Robinson finished 4th place in this in a time of 55:01, under 1 minute behind the winner on the Kingsteignton
Brooks Westward Cross Country League, Newquay (including Cornish Champs) 10/11
6 guys and 5 girls took to the fields of Newquay in this the first of 5 Westward League fixtures. Incorporating the Cornish Champs ensured quality line-ups in both competitions. Results are as follows...
2nd Steph McCall 24:16
9th Juliet Broster 26:19
16th Clare Parkin 26:50
24th Ellie Johnson 28:21
42nd Melissa Jones 31:04
11th Michael Robinson 35:22 (although representing Tamar Trotters due to League constitution rulings!)
14th Ollie Garrod 35:37 (fresh from exploits in the Surrey XC League the day before!)
49th Ollie Andrews 38:57
77th Josh Eve 40:40
83rd Dan Bagnell 41:12
85th Jack Gavin 41:25
Overall we took 2nd place in the womens competition and 10th in the mens competition. Next fixture for this league will be at home in Exeter on Sunday 1st December.
SW Services League, Cann Woods 13/11
Another dominant display from EUAC- with Ollie Garrod taking top spot in the mens competition and Steph McCall taking the honour in the womens- full results to follow!
